Maintenance, value retention, and care of laminate floors:
Wipe any spills as soon as possible with an absorbent cloth or towel
For everyday cleaning, vacuum clean the floor using the brush head or sweep it with a soft broom or dry or slightly damp micro fiber mop is the most preferred method. Cleaning kits are available from most dealers.
Footmarks and clinging dirt may be cleaned off with a slightly damp cloth. Use a cap full of windowlene in a half a bucket of water, or there are approved products for laminate floors sold in the supermarkets by Cobra floor care products, that can be sprayed onto the floor. Cleaning products should also be available from you specialized dealer.
As a last resort stubborn stains or contamination can be easily removed with acetone / nail polish remover or other alcohol based products. ( Spot wise only )
Place doormats at all entrances to avoid gravel, sand and grit scuffing the floor surface.
It is recommended that felt pads are fitted under the feet of tables chairs and furniture to make them easier to move and avoid scratches.
Equip hard or sharp edge furniture castors with soft treads, e.g. office chairs, filing cabinets and mobile containers
Do not wash your floors with a soaking spaghetti mop or cloth.
Do not sand, polish, wax, oil or use any other film forming products to clean your laminate as these treatments may leave marks and residual streaks on the laminate floor.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners or dish washing liquids
Do not use any sharp or pointed metal objects to clean any areas of the floor
Place drip trays under any pot plants and ensure that drip trays are not placed directly onto the floor surface always lift these by at least 50mm to allow airflow under the pot plant.
In the unlikely event of damaged areas, minor damage, chips and impregnations can be repaired with a colour filler by matching the shade, which will not impair the quality of the floor in any way
